"The Dashboard helped me discover that students who received a non-passing grade in more than one course were significantly more likely to drop out. Knowing this, I set up an early warning system to identify students who were struggling in their courses at the beginning of the semester and connect them to advising resources. This helped to increase the pass rates for current students by 32 percent."

This helped me focus my interventions, like asking: how many of these students are accessing advising services? It turns out this provides us really robust differences on retention. Retention rates for students who receive a non-passing grade and then see an advisor are 15 - 20 percentage points higher than those who do not access advising services.”
